REMAINS: Railroad sidings. 

Cluro was a stop on the Central Pacific and later the Western Pacific Railroads. A small settlement formed here during the late 1870s and early 1880s. A few residents continued to live here through the 1920s but none since that time. Only the railroad siding remains to mark the site.
