Craig Station was established in the early 1860s as a stop on the Ellsworth road. Other than the station was named after a R. V. Craig who was the first recorder for the nearby Mammoth Mining District, not much is known about the history of the station. The stage building still stands at the site. The property is now privately owned and permission is required to visit the site.
