There was a post office at Glen Hamilton from May 18, 1866 to October 15, 1866. Why no one has been able to figure out because few people ever lived at Glen Hamilton. It was a small stage stop on the Ione-Austin stage run. Today nothing at all remains in the area and the site location is approximate.
