Little is know about this small camp that existed in 1868 except that it did exist. Nothing is known about the origin of its name. There was a ten-stamp brick kiln mill that existed at the site that employed ten men, most of whom resided in nearby Northumberland. The mill operated on and off for several years and was finally shut town for good in 1870. A new open pit mining operation has completely obliterated the site.
