NAME: Mexican Camp COUNTY: Nye ROADS: 2WD GRID: 1 CLIMATE: Hot summer, cool winter. BEST TIME TO VISIT: Anytime. |
COMMENTS: Short lived. REMAINS: Nothing. |
The camp was a result of the people explosion in nearby Rhyolite and Bullfrog. It was never more than a tent camp with a population of about twenty-five. The camp was abandoned three months after it was formed for what gold there was faded quickly. Nothing remains.
