The station was part of the Belmont-Austin stage line and was formed early 1862 on A.E. Minnimum’s ranch. It became more important during the 1880s and 1890s when mining activity in the Toiyabe Mountains increased. Some mining occurred directly west of the station and a number of prospectors resided in Minnimun’s while working claims in the mountains. The station never really boomed, but its peak population was more than twenty-five—not bad for a stage stop. It was abandoned in the early 1900s. The remains at Minnimun’s are in excellent condition.
