SOUTH BULLFROG

NAME: South Bullfrog
COUNTY: Nye
ROADS: 4WD
GRID: 1
CLIMATE: Hot summer, cool winter.
BEST TIME TO VISIT: Anytime.
COMMENTS: Short lived.
REMAINS: Scant ruins.

South Bullfrog was never a town. It hardly was even a camp. It was only a promoter’s dream. There were plans to build a mill to treat ore from mines on Bare Mountain. There was a tent saloon at South Bullfrog and a couple of other tents, but nothing was ever built. When the promoter failed to get financing for the mill, the dream of developing a town evaporated. Because nothing was ever built at South Bullfrog, there is nothing left.
