COMMENTS: There are no current residents. The town's foundations are located on the 1776 trail abreast of Bear Mountain. You can drive to the beginning of the trail, but from there it is a 3 mile hike to Doodletown. You can hike the rest of the trail to the Fort if you wish. There is breathtaking scenery along the way.

REMAINS: Foundations ,Two Cemeteries still in use, many foundations walls and a garage

This revolutionary era city once was a pass-through for travelers to Fort Ticonderoga on the Hudson river. It was abandoned shortly after the war due to war damage incurred from British soldiers marching to through the area to strengthen the fort. Submitted by: Alex Yepes
