The community was settled in 1879 by farmer J. Monroe Dull. It soon developed into a town with a dozen homes, a general store, a blacksmith's shop, post office, sawmill, and a train station. The Dull family still lives in the area and most call it Dulltown. Submitted by Henry Chenoweth.
