No longer on many of the state maps, Glenmore was founded in 1889 and grew as a stop on the Erie Railroad. By 1900, it was a prosperous farming community. In 1915 and again in 1926, fires destroyed the town's business district. Today, the grain elevator is the only business left. Submitted by Henry Chenoweth.
