CENTRALIA

COMMENTS: About 8 families or so still live in centralia. Rolling hills and abandoned coal mines are around the town. An old cemetery just northwest of town is a point of interset. REMAINS: An old general store and two abandoned buildings are still there.

Centralia use to be a busy cattle town and was a gathering place for the cattlemen to buy goods at the genderal store. The town stayed busy until the railroad came to the area and passed it by and went to nearby Vinita. Submitted by: Kenny Williams
