NAME: Jester
COUNTY: Greer
ROADS: 2WD
GRID: 2
CLIMATE: Hot in summer and mild in winter.
BEST TIME TO VISIT: Spring and fall.
COMMENTS: Jester is nine miles north and eleven miles west of Mangum, Oklahoma.
REMAINS: Little to nothing.
The old town was located on a tributary to Deer Creek which is now part of the Sandy Sanders Wildlife Management Area. There once was a cotton gin and several commercial stores. The area is extremely rugged with low granite mountains to the east. Present day peanut and cotton farming is common in this dry and desolate area.Submitted by: Douglas L. Fisher
