Ketchum, Oklahoma was incoporated in 1899 in mayes county, but was later moved north of the old location in 1912 to make way for the creation of Grand lake O'the Cherokees. At that time there were at least 500 residents. when the railroad went through town it was the main income the town had at the time, but when the railroad was removed the population went down to 200 where it remains today.
