It was a mission of the Moravian church from at least about 1840 until the Civil War. It may have died with the War. My grandfather was born there and left a narrative of how his father was drafted by the North to be a sort canteen supervisor and how they were able to get away from both the War and the half-breed Cherokee Indians and flee to Pennsylvania. It was reported to be about 25 miles from Talequah which was the capitol of the Cherokee Nation. Submitted by: Robert W. Bishop

It is located about 4 miles off of old highway 412 in southern Delaware county backing up against the Cherokee county. Submitted by: Clifford Arneecher
