Current residents: approx. 400 Highway 18, 5 miles south of Fairfax, OK. 20 miles West of Hominy, OK. There are a few historical restorations here REMAINS: Quite a fes residence's and old buildings some dating to 1902 |
Not sure exactly when the town was founded but at its full swing back in the early 1900's it was bigger than Tulsa. It had at one time 8 - 10 banks and saloons into the high teens. There is a middle school, and post office and 1 convenience store that I know of at this time. I lived there growing up, till I was 25 then moved away. I'm sure it has died even more since then.
