COMMENTS: Located in a rural area close to Spiro, Oklahoma which has a population of approximately 3500 people, numerous cows, horses, and chickens. :) REMAINS: Old Choctaw cemetary, some walls of school building

Skullyville was a Choctaw town established after the removal if tge tribe from Mississippi in the early 1830's. Hew Hope Seminary for girls and Fort Coffee Academy for boys were both located there. There is still a cemetary with headstones dating back to the 1830's. Submitted by: Kim Wilson
