REMAINS: There used to be some large cement foundations of the mill site but they may be covered by trees and underbrush.

The location was originally a lumber town named for George Wendling who was director of the Booth-Kelly Lumber Company when the mill was in operation. In the late 30's or early 40's the mill was moved to Springfield where it operated for many years.
