Was an old logging town durring the late 1800's to early 1900's., was a large company town. I'm not sure too much about the tows history other than a ccc camp was there after the logging was stopped. Now it is owned by the state of pennsylvania. Very easy to get to and very cool place. Also the state has a major hiking trail head ther and permits rough style camping right in the town.
