The town is located on the Cheyenne River in the southwest corner of the Hills. Edgemont has boomed and busted a good many times and currently has a population of around a thousand residents. It is primarily a farming and cattle community today and retains enough of what it used to be to make for an interesting visit. Submitted by: Henry Chenoweth.
