Great site for rockhouds. REMAINS: A few buildings. |
Rockhounds would have a field day at Glendale. The town, located in Greyhound Gulch, was the site of the big Glendale Tin Company, which built a 150-ton tin mill some time before 1892. There is nothing left of the mill but there are a few deserted buildings in the area. There were numerous mines, mainly feldspar, mica, and beryl. Glendale got its start during the tin boom around the late 1880s. Submitted by: Henry Chenoweth. |
