Calhoun, texas was also known as Fisher Station, after the Civil War,it was a stop on the Kansas, Missouri and Texas Railroad, also known as the Katy RR. it was 4 miles northeast of downtown Dallas, but was latter consumed by the City of Dallas Texas. It is located on the West Side of White Rock Lake, Near the Cox's Cemetery, on Dalgreen Street. There still is a Fisher Road, and a Historial Marker where Fisher Station was, but it was also called Calhoun, Texas. REMAINS: Historial Marker, on fisher street, dallas texas, historial marker in cox's cemetery |
The town no loner is there, because it was consumed by the City of Dallas. Must look at an old map of Dallas to find where it was. Look up Cox Cemetery on White Rock Lake in Dallas, Texas; Submitted by: R. L. Roberts |
