They named it Telegraph for the telephone poles.It was established in 1900 with a post office.In the 1920s it was a popular outdoor vacation destination.The mid-1920s it had a gas station, store,post office,torist park with a population of 25.The residents increased in 1966 with a population of 56 but declined to 11 in 1974.Today its population is 3.
