COMMENTS: State route 24 runs right through the old town site. There are remains of a few buildings left standing.

Giles was settled by Mormon pioneers right around the same time that Hanksville and Caineville were established. It was established as a farming community and kept getting flooded out by the river. Eventually the settlers abandoned the townsite. Submitted by: Richard Hawley
