Pahreahh is the movie set and about 2 milies
farther along the road is Pahreah, the original Mormon town. REMAINS: Movie set one location and original remains another. UPDATE: Pahreah was destroyed by fire set by arsonists in late 2006. People are talking about re-building, but nothing is official as of late. |
Pahreahh was used as a movie set. Pahrea
was settled in 1870 on the narrow benches above the Pahreah River (later
spelled Pahreahh ) Nuts, vineyards, and vegetables flourished. The settlers
also ran cattle in the canyons. Pahreah was a popular stopping place for
river travelers.
