SOLDIER SUMMIT

NAME: Soldier Summit
COUNTY: Wasatch
ROADS: 2WD
Grid #: 5
CLIMATE: Cool winter with possible snow, warm summer.
BEST TIME TO VISIT:
Anytime.
COMMENTS: A few current residents.
REMAINS: In October 2013, there remain two weathered cabins on the north side of US 6 where the highway bends from E-W to NE-SW in orientation. The cabins are smack-dab in the middle of a small settlement of about a half-dozen occupied modern, small homes, and mobile homes. There is an operating gasoline station at the location. I learned that this site was not worth adding to my itinerary in terms of ghost-town-looking. E.W. Burdorff
In 1919 the Railroad built its division point here. Between 1925 and 1930 over 300 people lived in town. In 1930 the division point was moved to Helper and the town soon died. (These Photos were taken Oct 14 1992). No one lives here
