Gold hill Washington west of Loomis WA. was never a real town but a gold camp. It is about 6 miles due west of Loomis on the toats coulee rd. The log cabins are still standing for the most part. There are 4 small log cabins there and the bunk house is still there. The bunk house has fallen down for the most part. The mine itself is full of water and is not accessible at all. It is a very nice place to see and you need a 4 wd to get to it. The last time I was there was yesterday. I have been working up there for the last two weeks and drive by it every day. It also was used from about 1880 to 1892. All the supplies where brought in by mule trains and the road was not put in till the 1930s.No one lives in the camp but do above it and below it. It is private land being a patented mining claim. It is in a large group of claims on the mountain. Submitted by Rob Stone
