COMMENTS: Maybe one or two familys left, Govan lies on Hwy #2 between Wilbur and Almira. Old school, post office, grain elevators. REMAINS: Old school and postoffice-store

Govan is an old farm-ranching town that flourished in the late 1800's. As the highways and vehicles improved, people were better able to travel to the larger towns to get better selection and prices. Farming in this area is on the decline relative to population so all the small towns in this area are getting smaller. Submitted by: Wayne Reid
