COMMENTS: Nice, well kept town on Highway 261.
REMAINS: Hotel/store, church, homes, parsonage, water tower.
Ralston was once a thriving town on the Millwakee rail system. Was named after the Ralston Purina brand. Had many residents at one time, loyal ones at that, as its Post Office was discontinued in 1975 (zip code 99175). Unique store with 16 room hotel on upper floor makes the trip to Ralston worthwhile. Community Church (now a residence) has been recently purchased and undergoing restoration. School has been torn down ruins can be found on the East side of 261 behind the water tower. Enjoyable park to play in and cool down. Rail lines are gone, but this town is definetely a must see. Submitted by: T Pulliam
