LOCATION: Lake Roosevelt (Columbia River) Kettle Falls

COMENTS: The old town site of Kettle Falls is under water as the Grand Coulee Dam has risen and covered the town site with water.

ACTIVITY: Whitman Mission National Historic Site
LOCATION: 7 Miles west of Walla Walla on Hwy 12 in Washington
FEE:Adults are $3, under 16 free
OPEN DATES: 7 days/week 8am to 4pm.

COMENTS: There is more going on at the park than ever. Weekend afternoons there are demonstrators, crafts, and activities. A rotating set of hands-on activities are available weekday afternoons from 1:30 to 3:00. There are storytelling, dances, and walks on selected evenings.
