The site of Ft. Bonneville, 1832. Also the site of rendezvous for Smith, Jackson and Sublette’s (The Rocky Mountain Fur Co.) in 1835. Also known as “The Green River rendezvous”. The Fort was mocked and nick-named by other U.S. Forts as Fort Nonsense. Because it was believed that Ft. Bonneville was never officially a United States outpost. Submitted by: Ryan J. Hill |
