COMMENTS:
There are less then 10 people living in
town, though the stuff to see is located Westward of the town. Best reached
off the south side of I-30 toewards Wamsutter & Rawlins. Take exit 130 south.
REMAINS: Old dirt track heading towards remains of old stage station. |
Features the remains of the Point of Rocks stage station, a relay point for the Ben Holladay-Overland trail stages in 1862. Submitted by: Ryan J. Hill Point of Rocks was originally known as the Almond Post Office. It was
a less-frequent stop for the Union Pacific, with the town consisting of
only the post master and his family. |
