| This town was named for the Guston Mines. Guston had the only church in the Red Mountain District for several years. A reverand Davis struggled to bring Christianity to the area and finally won the hearts of many miners who chipped in to build the church and put a bell and whistle on it. Guston had between 500 and 1000 residents at its peak and was only a stones through from Red Mountain. The church has since collapsed. Submitted by: Todd Underwood |
