It takes the moIt takes the most intrepid of ghost-towners to reach one of the most picturesque ghost towns in Colorado. It is neither for the faint of heart nor for those with unused hiking muscles after the jeep has gone as far as it can go. Mill Pond is located west and a little north of Holy Cross City, which is a fair test for jeeps in itself. From Holy Cross City one hikes the two miles to Fancy Pass. From the summit of Fancy Pass it is another rugged one and one-half to two mile hike to the Êd to Ouray over several nearly impossible trails. Submitted by Henry Chenoweth.
