Corydon Rose was the name of the guy who ran this place. It had tavern and dormitory accomodations for the miners in the area and was one of the first structures built in the are. Rose's cabin was the only place for social activities until Lake City became larger. At one time there was over 100 cabins at the site as miners who had claims in the area neaded a place to stay. Today, little remains of the main cabin. Submitted by: Todd Underwood | Roses Cabin - July 2000 Todd Underwood |
