From Aspen travel east on SH
82 to Lincoln Gulch Road turnoff, then follow Lincoln Gulch Road
past Grizzly Reservoir to the end of the road. Ruby is a historic
mining town. Well worth the visit. Mineralization of the area
is obvious. REMAINS: Cabins, mill, boarding house |
Found in the late 1880's Ruby was later abandoned around the turn of the century due to transportation difficulties. Ruby was a silver mini8ng town with some lead and gold mined around there as well.
