Bunker Hill was one of the small rural communities that combined with 3 other ghost towns Keenville, Duette, & Dry Prairie to form the only one room school house still in operation in Manatee county. It is up the road, east, in New Duette. Dry Prairie's name is remains only on the Dry Prairie Baptist Church.
