REMAINS: 1921 General Store, one house, railroad grade
In the 1800's E.E. Goodno established a railroad stop for cattle to be boarded on the way to Cuba. A small community sprang up around the stop until the 1926 Hurricane demolished and flooded most homes and drove off the residents. The General Store remained open for a tourist stop until just recently. E.E. Goodno actually made his home on the Fort Thompson site a little bit West of the Store. Look for the historical marker.
