Limestone grew up when the railroad was built in 1913. It was principally a lumber manufacturing town. The Germain Lumber Company operated a large mill there for several years. The town declined during the depression. The sawmill was dismantled, the school has been torn down, and the packing house is gone. Submitted by: Mike Woodfin
