Ridgewood was a company owned town built by Davison Chemical. Like many others during the first half of the 20th Century, it was set up to house the company's phosphate mine and factory workers and their families. At one point the population reached 200. Ridgewood disappeared in the early 1950's, and the townsite is now part of the areas many phosphate mines. Submitted by: Jim Pike |
