This community exists on the 1895 Florida Map. The only remains of the former community is the Sandy Baptist Church which still remains in its original condition. Note the two entry doors of the church. This originally was one for men and the other for women. The Sandy Baptist Church still has the old two seater outhouse on the property but apparantly has not been used in many years.
