COMMENTS: Take IN-9 south from Huntington, turn west on Monument City Rd. Follow road until it dead ends. Park in small unpaived parking lot and walk past the gate.
REMAINS: A few trails that used to be roads in the town, most of the town is underwater and only visable when the reservoir is low.
The town of Monument City, IN was flooded in 1965 order to create the Salamonie Reservoir. When the reservior is low enough you can still see some ruins. Submitted by: Matt Jericho
