NAME: Talmo COUNTY: Republic ROADS: 2WD GRID: 3 CLIMATE: Moderate -- some snow in winter, warm in summer. BEST TIME TO VISIT: Spring and fall, but visit anytime

COMMENTS: A few residents, one church, no businesses. The most interesting thing to see in present day Talmo is the CoOp gas station (whose pumps still register 10 cents per gallon!) - M.E.Creese. REMAINS: About 6 houses, a few residents, church building.

Railroad town in late 1800s. Elementary school closed during 1960s. Mail is delivered from Belleville. Population dwindled throughout 1900s. Had 38 people in 1960. Grocery store closed about 1967. Coop gas station closed during 1970s. Submitted by: Wayne Brindle
