BEST TIME TO VISIT: Summer, or fall
COMMENTS: This is a medium sulphur pyrite mining town in Rowe massachusetts started around 1880 and died about 1910 it is on private property, so its best to secure permission from the owner, this was a decent sized mining village, there are still some remains, 4 shaft, all capped off one is 1800 feet deep. there is supposedly still machinery in the area and a tall 100 foot tall iron chimney. this area is heavily wooded, and there are no real access roads into it, but its jsut off davis mine road in rowe. nobody lives in there anymore.
REMAINS: 4 deep shafts, some sulphur ore, several foundations.
