SIMS

NAME: Sims
COUNTY: Morton
ROADS: 2WD
GRID: 2
CLIMATE: Snow in the Winter, Warm in Summer.
BEST TIME TO VISIT: All year.
COMMENTS: The only thing left functioning is the Lutheran Church. There is probably one family left there, which I would gather would be the pastor there.
REMAINS: The Lutheran Church, unused parsonage, a small rambler, abandonded brick house, and an old railroad bridge minus any tracks.
From what I could gather, Sims had a small brick factory and many of the houses in the town utilized the bricks. My wife's relatives hint that maybe the bricks weren't very good. The town was inhabited I think until the mid 1980's, and nearly everthing has been torn down but the church, parsonage, and one old brick house in disrepair. If anyone can help me with some Sims history, please feel free to add to this. Submitted by: Stephen Berg
