| BREECE. Named for Breece lumber company who were big time lumber people back in the early 1900's. They logged extensively in the Zuni Mountains, with several saw mills and small gauge tracks running many places in the Zuni mountains. Old rail beds can still be followed to locate saw mill sites and lumber camps.Chalky Breece was one of the first air plane owners in the area.
