COMMENTS: A short lived town REMAINS: Not Much

The town didn't live long enough to warrant a post office. Started in 1902 on the west bank of the Rio Grande River with Eastern capitalist money, the venture proved highly unsuccessful in a short period of time. The reason? The body of gold ore was of low-grade in quartz. Costs exceeded income and that was the end of Glen-Woody's brief existence. Courtesy Henry Chenoweth.
