House of Sylvan R. & Maria Ignacia Hendren.  This home was built in the early 1900’s and affectionately called “Casa Alta” translated “tall/high house.”  I have made it a self appointed mission to seek out all websites that incorrectly list this home as an old stone store.  Though it is no longer habital, this is a four room house with the living room and kitchen on the first floor and two very large bedrooms on the second floor.  The slant roof had channels for rain water that used to fill the large round cistern behind the house.  There was also a smoke house for meats.
