COMMENTS: Northwest of Jean. Goodsprings, Nevada: Here's a great, though short, article about Goodsprings: Historic Desert Waterholes V, Goodsprings, Nevada
It's by Walter Ford, on page 20 of the October, 1956 Desert Magazine issue. What makes it different is that the article is about Goodsprings being an important source for water, because in 1956, it wasn't a ghost town.

REMAINS: A few landmarks are still left.

Goodsprings was a settlement in the hills seven miles west of Jean. It served as an important town for milling or from the surrounding mines. This or would then be transported by wagon to Jean where it was loaded on trains. Today only a few landmarks are left. Ghosttowns.com

The town known as Jean on U.S. Highway 15 in Clark County in southern Nevada is the junction to state highway 53 that leads to the ghost town of Goodsprings. The town has named after a Mr. Joseph Good who headquartered his cattle raising operation there. At first the site was known as Good's Springs but eventually was called Goodsprings. It was a mining camp with a hotel, a saloon that is still standing and in operation, and a general store. The end of World War I also saw the end of Goodsprings as a mining town. But there are still landmarks of the town to satisfy the ghosttowner. Submitted by Henry Chenoweth.

Goodsprings, Nevada: There's an article on Goodsprings at Desert Magazine, March 1977, Page 8 by Mary Francis StrongGoodies at Goodsprings

The cool thing about it is, the town is not a ghost town, but is booming active town. The saloon in the pictures Ghosttowns.com is featured in the article. Its a long article, with six photos and a DM map.
