IDLEWILD

NAME: Idlewild
COUNTY: Nye
ROADS: 2WD
GRID: 1
CLIMATE: Hot summer, cool winter.
BEST TIME TO VISIT: Anytime.
COMMENTS: Not much left.
REMAINS: Large Log Structure.

Idlewild Canyon was a small offshoot camp of nearby Midas. Only a few miners ever lived there and no mining ever took place. Little is know about the site and there is no history of record for the settlement. It is now used by the Boy Scouts of America as one of their outing places. A large old log structure whose purpose is unknown remains at the site along with fresh spring water for the thirsty.
