Jacob’s Well was a small way station for the Pony Express. During its existence, the station also served the Hill Beachy stage line to Hamilton and other White Pine camps. In 1863, the station was enlarged and meals and lodging were offered to travelers. The charge for a meal and night’s sleep was $1. There is virtually nothing to mark the site of Jacob’s Well.
